Why doesn't my dad like me dating interacially?

I'm not fully black, but to avoid explaining to people, I just consider myself black(since I look black). I okay guitar(shredding, I know the solo ro jump by van halen, and I love alternative music). Ever since i was 10 I've always been attracted to white, and Latin guys. My dad absolutely hated the fact that nearly all of my guy friends were white (I went to an all white school, what do you expect)? My dad always talks to me about how I need to go to church more and meet black girls and guys there to change my "preference". I said "no dad, if you're putting me in church choir just to meet black guys, then no, that's not the point of it." he thinks i'm white washed, and that the media made me think black guys are thugs(which isn't true)! He never takes me to any concerts or let's me go to concerts cause they're too "white". :/
