Should I apply to UCLA or Berkeley as reaches or not even bother?

It all depends on whether you truly want to try to attend UCLA or Berkeley. When you apply to colleges, there's always a certain amount of luck involved. I know people who've slacked off all of high school and made it into pretty good schools and people who've maintained a perfect 4.0 and full IB classes who were rejected from some of their colleges. So you should definitely try to apply! There's really not that much you can lose!
