How good do I have to be to get to Yale?

Yale, like all the Ivy Leagues, is extremely competitive. Your competition is straight-A students loaded with AP classes, PLUS outstanding achievements in something. Toughest academic curriculum is not enough. SAT 2200+ would help. Winning national or international competitions like science fair, math, music, arts; leadership positions; volunteer & charity work; sports star - you need things which make you an extraordinary person. Olympic champion? Movie star? Published author? What do you have going for you? You need superior academics, exceptional achievements, multi-talents, character, leadership, and more.
